is there a way to make tmod use more of the computers resources?

right now the game only uses about %10 cpu and ram that results in me getting not a high stable fps

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page. If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. If you need a visual guide to this process watch this: https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/assets/4522492/3f4efa43-753f-4733-b630-ba85e711340c

TML is single threaded and can only use 1 cpu core, if you want better FPS you'd have to lower the amount of mods you are using, or run the game in a lower resolution, or use a smaller world size

damn so that's probably a issue with terraria is there a way to work around that apart from the things, you mentioned

No, the game being single threaded is something only the developers can change and it would be a massive undertaking

Lighting is multithreaded I'm pretty sure, but that is the only thing.

Having the same issue, haven't found any solution yet I have fps drop rates only during bullethell parts of boss fights, so I don't think that amount of mods or resolution affects this Maybe the amount of objects has higher influence
