As per usual with issues running Steam games through Proton: Add
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
to your launch arguments in Steam, re-run the game, then send in the steam-<bunchofnumbers>.log
file in your home directoryeastern-cyanOP•3mo ago

what GPU do you have?
I'm just seeing
Intel(R) Graphics (RPL-U)
in the log
oh no... /home/sidzas/snap/steam/common
you're using Snap Steam?
don't use Snap Steam
Valve has specifically said to not use Snap Steameastern-cyanOP•3mo ago
then what do I use

Either install the .deb from Steam or use the flatpak
The Snap package is going to be nothing but problems
And you don’t have a dedicated GPU in that laptop, so performance is also probably not going to be great

imma just pretend like i understood

its simple
1) dont use the steam snap
2) your laptop doesnt have a gpu (other than the one inside the CPU), so you will get bad performance either way (low FPS)

oh
alright thanks mate

i think using a different steam package should fix your issue though
just dont use the snap
eastern-cyanOP•3mo ago
could you possibly tell me step by step how to use a different one
genetic-orange•3mo ago
Sure, although I havent switched before, I will try
First, I'll ask, do you have flatpak installed / set up?
@shift
