Silent Hill 4 GoG
Trying to run the GoG version of this on a steam deck. I can run it in Desktop mode fine but not game mode for some reason. Verified the installation and it still didn't work.

turn off Dxvk-nvapi
turn on verbose logs
also worth checking that the shader precaching setting is on
and finally, use proton-ge instead of experimental

sorry, you said that it worked in desktop mode, right?
the log that you have provided here is in desktop mode, which is fine if that doesn't work anymore
if it does work in desktop mode, but not in gaming mode, then we need a log from gaming mode

I’m wondering if I have to toss in the old pcgamingwiki patches, cuz it used to work on my steam deck before it threw the “game was not properly installed” error
