Launch options and Everspace 2

I'm having an issue where I can't start Everspace 2 in the game mode of Steam Deck. The game is just not loading at all. The game needs to be launched through launch options, like in this request https://github.com/Heroic-Games-Launcher/HeroicGamesLauncher/issues/3998

Is there a way to say "I want to pick launch option 2" or I'm blocked out to play this game on Steam Deck?
