I installed steam and heroic in flatpack. Can I make heroic add my games to steam?
So I installed in flatpack by accident.
Can I still configure heroic so that it adds my games to steam like it normally does?

Hello, Heroic Flatpak should have by default the permission to access Steam Flatpak folder, I verified with Flatseal.

Oh then what's going on. I get an error whenever I try to add a game to steam.

and yes the .steam directory in my home directory it doesnt exist. well, thats because of the flatpack installation right

in heroic's settings there's a field to tell heroic where's the steam directory, have you tried changing that to point to the steam's flatpak directory?

ty. no io didnt try that, but it's also because i dont know how to find the flatpack directory.

but can someone helpoe me understand why fsearch can't find the subdirectory /,steam/ no matter how i write the query?
ok it isnt working. the game gets added with its thumbnail, appropiately, but it doesnt launch. ive tired 2 games and they run on heroic but they dont run from steam. cahnged the poroton version to the same used in heroic and it doesnt work.
maybe i need to change the launch route in steam to one linking to the flatpak direftory of heroic?
run com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl --no-gui --no-sandbox "heroic://launch/gog/1965973671"

you wrote
/,steam/ but i think the correct path is ~/.steam/ or maybe ~/.var/app/[STEAM-FOLDER]/.steam/
Don't use Heroic Proton installation in Steam
If you want to install and use other versions of Proton in Steam, use the in-app option or the app called ProtonUp-Qt
But I don't think it is the problem here

this is the path i used in heroic for the route to steam.
/home/julio/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.steam/steam
i assumed it was correct since as i say it adds the thumbnail and cover correctly, and adds a launch command, etc.
i only tried changing the proton version in steam after the games didnt launch the first time.

in steam do not set any proton or compatability modes for games linked by heroic
heroic has already handled it.
