"busybox multi-call binary" does not work
When I run tmodloader I get the following error --> program “busybox multi-call binary” does not work
If you click on the cross, the program does not close, and keeps writing this error.
I have looked through a ton of guides, read about this error on forums, and even in this discord could not find how to fix this error

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page.
If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on
tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. Reinstalling and other basic stuff doesn't help
Are there any files in the logs folder the video shows
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
I don't even have a logs folder (
Have you tried launching
start-tModLoader.bat directly?ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
yes
same problem
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
hm, it looks like when you closed the error window while opening the server, the game kept loading. That's odd
Have you tried just closing that but leaving the black window running?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
yep
Hm, I'm not actually sure what the solution here is. Everyone in the past who had this issue seems to either have it fix itself or didn't respond to further questions
Can you double check for me if your system is 32 or 64 bit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/determine-whether-your-computer-is-running-a-32-bit-version-or-64-bit-version-of-the-windows-operating-system-1b03ca69-ac5e-4b04-827b-c0c47145944b

64
You checked that Windows is 64 bit, right? Not just that your computer is 64 bit

The program seems to run piecemeal when I hit the “cancel” button. The program seems to run piecemeal when I hit the “cancel” button.
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
yes
That's interesting. I see some google results that say if you do that enough it does load. But I'll keep searching
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
I was able to start tmodloader by constantly pressing the cancel button, but I don't think it should run that way 😅

I've tested this a few times and each time it resets everything to factory settings
You mean you have to choose the language each time?
Can you send me the logs? You should have logs now
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
no
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
was this the only file in the logs folder?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
no
send them all?
yeah
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
Ok, so what do you mean " each time it resets everything to factory settings"?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
The reset problem seems to be gone, but the startup error is still there
reset settings*
But you said you didn't have to choose the language, so what settings?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
With the settings all resolved itself, it is no longer relevant, but as I said, the problem with the startup is still relevant
k.
One thing I noticed in the logs you sent is it claims the program is running as admin and under windows 7 compatilibity mode. Did you change any of the file settings?

Like, did you change any of these on any of the files?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
no
Or, did you launch Steam itself as admin?
ratty-blushOP•8mo ago
I changed the setting to windows 7 compatibility and the setting with run as administrator
But this problem was there before
hm, ok. It just was one of the only things that I could see that was different from my own logs, so I thought I'd ask
I suggest deleting the whole install folder and verifying game integrity, so we can be sure everything is back to normal
Once you do that, instead of launching from steam, try launching
start-tModLoader.bat again, then click through all the error messages and send the new logs once you get the game launched.
The new logs might show me something new to look intoratty-blushOP•8mo ago
K, I'm still not sure what is going on. If you want, can you place this file in the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\tModLoader\LaunchUtils folder replacing the existing and launch it, then show me what happens. It might give me a clue what is going wrongratty-blushOP•8mo ago
Can we continue tomorrow?
If that's the case, I'll get some rest
oh yeah, totally. Whenever you have time. Sorry about this, we've had this reported before but no one ever stuck around.

Thanks. I'm still trying to narrow down this issue. One idea I have is to have you download the latest version of that busybox thing: https://frippery.org/files/busybox/busybox64.exe Download it and replace the one in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\tModLoader\LaunchUtils and see if that does anything differentlyratty-blushOP•7mo ago
That's odd, the file should still be there
