MPS I would be happy to hop into a call with someone to better explain my setup if necessary.
MI found the issue to my problem. I needed to run conda install -c conda-forge sdl2_ttf prior to my install of pyboy. This fixed the rendering issue

I did not consider that when I deleted the post. I wrongly assumed having the post up when I found the answer on my own would be looked down upon. That is my bad. If it will help others who may run into this same problem I can post my original issue in this chat, along with my troubleshooting steps, or I can create a new post and this one can be removed on your end?
