How can I download an image from immich and keep the important dates, such as creation/modification
When I download an image from my immich library the file now has a creation and modification date listed as today. I'm aware that exif data still retains the capture date but for something like a screenshot, that never had a capture date, I've now lost that valuable metadata. How can I download and retain the important dates?

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.

- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.

You can go to you hard drive, find the photo in question, next to it will be a .xmp file with the metadata edits
Ok, that's what you meant. Yes, I'm familiar with that method. I am hoping for a more elegant solution.
