Can I somehow run a TML build that includes changes made on github only 8 days ago?
Hello. The bug fixed here https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/commit/2c3abf868b90b8f13a80801f932390d61e0c554b affects me. How could I try a version that includes those changes? I'm willing to build locally.. (does the toolchain work on linux? I do have a windows machine available just in case.)

Welcome to #support-forum. Before someone helps you, please first consult the information in #TML Troubleshooting Guide and try all the suggestions that might fit your particular issue, especially in the linked FAQ page.
If the information in the pinned thread does not solve your issue, please post all log files by dragging and dropping them into this chat. In Steam right click on
tModLoader in the library, then hover over Manage and click on Browse local files. In the folder that appears find tModLoader-Logs and open that folder. Inside that folder are the logs files. Select them all except the Old folder and drag them into this chat. Mar 21, 2024, not this year. These changes are in all the recent releases
You might be experiencing a related issue, or maybe the fix isn't working in your circumstance. If you have replication instructions that are consistently causing the issue, I could try to look more into it and see if something is lackingthe fix is for syncing mods, not recieving tile data
many people have had the latter in the last few days
seems to be caused by a changed configurations in windows, since they also report it not working in terraria
