Outdated mods found!
Satisfactory Mod Loader can be updated to
3.10.0
Infinite Zoop can be updated to 1.8.23
Update these mods, there may be fixes for your issue in doing so.nope its says these when updating or launch
That's odd, you don't need to launch the game through SMM though - the button just tells Steam to launch the game
is your D drive full?
Did you move your Satisfactory install directory?
Nope ,not at all 500 gigabytes of free space
Sorry for the misinformation I tried launching is no problem just dowloanding and updating mods
Yes, I did but it was a while ago so shouldnt be a problem I guess
I just redownloaded the game today
Hello,the problem is still here
So, that error is that something in the filesystem is preventing SMM from accessing the file
D:\\Program Files\\x86\\steamapps\\common\\Satisfactory\\FactoryGame\\Mods\\default-lock.json
. Check that the file isn't set to read-only. Either that, or a file/directory permission issue within windows (or some other process currently has it open ― it is only a simple text file, but check your AV hasn't quarantined it or something like that). As a last-resort, you could delete it, SMM might be able to recreate it then.also with permissions, sometimes Windows does a weird thing which will go away on a reboot
Also, come to mention it, are you sure the game is actually stopped? https://discord.com/channels/555424930502541343/555505343031934979/1357062584330748004
Yeah it was on read only but when I turned it off then tried updating the mods via smm it turned back on, I turned off then restarted then tried updating It did not work too
1) Restart your PC. Please do not skip this step. 2) If it is still not working, delete all of the -lock.json files in
..\Satisfactory\FactoryGame\Mods\
3) Failing that, export your profile from SMM using the handy "Export" button / Uninstall SMM / Delete any of the -lock.json files that have been recreated since the last step / Delete any of the following directories if they still exist %localappdata%\ficsit
%localappdata%\SatisfactoryModManager
%appdata%\ficsit
%appdata%\SatisfactoryModManager
/ Reinstall SMM / Reimport your profile.Try launching SMM as moderator. That solved it for me
I assume you mean as admin. In any case, if that does fix it, you need to stop running Steam as admin in the first place.
I dont run steam as admin, and I still had to run SMM as admin to download any mods
@Treeguy Try launching SMM as admin, and let me know if it worked
