View Photos Imported from External Source in Mobile App (iOS)

I (currently) don't want to upload to the server directly from mobile devices, at least until I'm comfortable with the setup. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to set up the mobile app to just browse the already existing photos/videos imported from an external source to the 'Photos' section, like I can when using the server web UI. Thanks

to be clear, you are downloading the app, signing into it with the credentials as you are using in the web browser, and doing nothing else?

Thanks Tempest. I think I may have fiddled with too many settings. Have just reinstalled the app, based on your comment, and all's now well.

FYI there is currently a bug that cause the mobile app might not render the assets from external library if there is some corrupted video files in there. We are working on pushing out a new release which will fix this issue

Is there a way for other users to view media from external sources, even though they're not the owner? I ask as I'd like all family member to be able to browse the library, not just me. I can create and share an album, but there appears to be no way they can search this.
