There are so many iterations of white leather sneakers beyond all of the Common Projects clones. I personally love white sneakers (see pic) but I think there are so many options now in so many styles that it's silly to say that they're essential. Also versatility is overrated heavily

funnily enough I think sneakers like GATs, killshots, NBs, etc. are far less dated looking than the white CP achilles

Basically all my shoes broke at the same time so I was forced to more or less only wear these for like 3 months straight which made me hate them low-key

White leather sneakers are great. Very easy to wear. It just seems a bit silly to decide that there is One Correct Sneaker that will solve the Great Problem that has troubled humanity: what shoes should I wear today.
White chuck tailors are a nice neutral that can vibe with anything and the patina can be nice to see

i have too many common projects and have had pairs since mid-00s yet have never felt the urge to buy the standard #menswear white achilles. don't hate em, but it's kinda odd how it became the ur-shoe for so many and started this weird cottage industry of not-quites

But I got these North Face ones for a good deal. I'm less precious about them because of the brand and harsh reality of winter. They're my fun "moon shoes". 😂
