DEVELOPING ON LINUX

Hey guys, I'm trying to switch to Linux and have been using Mint for about 3 months, but I don't like the system. I also have no need or time to use super customizable distros like Arch and Kali (apparently programmers' favorites), do you guys have any recommendations? I made some research and was thinking about Fedora or Zorin

What exactly do you not like about Linux Mint? Also, is Kali really more customizable than others?

I guess my main bother was the system performance, I have it installed in pretty fast hardware with great storage but it still feels a bit like I'm running Windows 7... It has crashed a couple of times on data modeling tests as well. Overall it's not a bad system I just felt like I couldn't get used to it. Also, I would prefer software management that revolves around the DNF and RPM

if you like DNF, Fedora is probably a good choice I personally like Ubuntu with snaps but that's a pretty controversial opinion (I have reasons that apply to me but probably not for you - and apart from that, I'd use Kubuntu when I'd have to reinstall it) - if you prefer DNF, Fedora is probably good but make sure you are using DNF5 and not DNF4 (at least I'm really annoyed about DNF4 on servers with low memory)

I personally use Fedora. I never had issues with it except when setting up nginx. SeLinux (the secure mosule of linux that fedora uses) is too safe and was a pain in the ass when configuring a proxy server 😂. Other than that, it works perfectly AND uses DNF
