Whenever you do an aldol condensation, you end up with an α-β unsaturation. All of them have such an unsaturation, but the thing is, it occurs by E1 mechanism, so you'll get a Zaitsev (Saytzeff) product. Clearly, 2 has a Hoffman elimination product, which won't happen.
Tldr; an exocyclic double bond is unlikely to form when you're dehydrating an aldol
