use immich to migrate my photos to a given template folder structure.
Can I use immich to add an external library (My all time photos backup created with rsync) and create a new folder with the photos organized by year and month?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close
command, and re-open it later if needed. No, the storage template doesn't apply to external libraries
you'd need to upload them
do you mean upload all the photos? I could to it since they are on a folder on my hdd
it will take more time but it is doable
do you think it would be better to do it with an script?
the uploading? we have the cli for that
I'll take a look thanks
seems like this will works, thanks
would you mind solving anether question?
If i enable the backup from my phone to iimich I can ditch this rsync process I am doing rigth? I will only need to take care of create backups for the immich librari.
am I rigth?
I mean idk what your rsync setup involves
But the Immich app can upload to the server yes
I basically run rsync from my iphone to a folder called iphonebt where I have an archive of all my historic photos
I assume immich will replace this manual process once it is setup
yes it should be able to upload the files directly to immich
great, thanks!
