Apple Photo (iOS) sync
Hello!
So far, all my photos were synced with Apple servers in "iPhone storage optimization" mode, which means that original are not stored on my phone, but only thumbnails. And indeed, my iPhone storage indicates that only ~3GB are used for photos.
I recently installed Immich iOS app, setup the server, and enabled library sync, which uploaded my entire photo library (44GB of photos and videos) to my Immich server.
Can someone confirm that the iOS Immich app did download my photos from Apple servers, to have them uploaded on my Immich server? I find this really surprising…

Some (most) live photos are static (and the play button keeps spinning without video showing). Some other are playing with no sound. And few both have the live animation with sound as expected. Any reason related to my situation (sync from Apple Photo with storage saving on my iPhone) ?
Have all the background jobs finished?
yes. I can't find any that are static now: I guess it was related to background jobs. However, most (all?) of them are silent. The speaker icon is crossed. It doesn't seem to be a browser related issue cause videos play with sound 🤷♂️
