Difficulty not changing on dedicated server?

I changed difficulty after starting the server but it says "normal" still on server list

did you save and restart the server try setting hard to be lowercase idk thats about all i have i cant even get mine to show up on the lan list 💔

most likely a port configuration issue

i think game mode only changes when starting a new save month later but, now i have one i think a lot of settings only apply then, you might have to edit the save file instead
