#Exposing Immich to the internet #off-topic

Thanks but that's pretty technical and I don't understand most of it. It's also pretty long, I was scrolling for a few minutes and never for to the bottom. Can I get a simple fix to my problem that's not super technical and just tells me what to do?

no, there's not a "simple fix" to exposing your homelab services to the internet if you want the most simple, you can use tailscale VPN, you will have to install the app on each device

I looked it up and it seems like tailscale is just a company that provides a VPN. if I already have a VPN provider what's the difference and why do I need this one?

You should Google to learn what a VPN is and how it helps you connect clients. We will not answer non immich questions like this in the help desk threads. Thanks for understanding

I know what a VPN is and have one. Does it require this specific one or can I use mine? Why does it need a VPN at all?
