USB hub randomly disconnects at unpredictable times

I believe usb 7-1.1 is the powered hub I use to connect all my peripherals to my KVM, which is why keyboard/mouse/microphone/camera are all connected specifically to it. This hub never showed any issue on windows so this seems linux-specific. I also tried rebasing to 42-testing to see if the newer kernel avoids the problem but it still happens.
Rebooting feles like it temporarily alleviates the problem, but it's hard to get evidence for it.
