New Install Issues: Random Freezes, Restarts, Functions Disappearing... Please Help
I finished my installation last night on a new PC I built specifically for it. Everything seemed to be fine, I installed games, played games, had my controller connected via bluetooth and everything kept working with no issues.... Until the next morning. Now I can't go to desktop mode without the system either freezing or restarting, the MB bluetooth adapter is no longer detected and says (connect an external one), and I can't seem to keep things responsive for more than 30 seconds to 5 mins at a time before it freezes and eventually restarts again. Please help, I've never used linux so this is new to me.

Correction: Either it restarts itself, or I am forced to restart it due to the OS freezing.
What exactly did you install? Did you do anything but install games through Steam?
The only times I've noticed this have been after layering packages to install them (which shouldn't cause such issues, so I have no idea what the root cause was)
sorry for the late reply. I installed the OS, chose desktop, KDE (Steam Mode), EmuDeck, and after that I installed Decky Loader from the app store, because I didn't know I was going to want it at the time of the OS install, which might have been when the issues started happening. I am also running into an issue in the steam mode where the wifi constanly disconnects. Something about trying to reconnect to steam servers, and then losing connectivity, even though the wifi signal is fine on other devices.
Most of the freezes happen when I'm in desktop mode, but occasionally it will happen in the steam mode
I could try to uninstall decky loader, since I haven't downloaded any plugins for it yet.
I'd definitely try uninstalling decky, I'm quite confident none of those other things would cause problems. Did you do anything custom with drive partitioning when installing Bazzite initially?
After updating to 42 (been using bazzite with no problems for 6+ months) I am also getting random freezes. Had to hard reboot the pc. I use gnome, rtx 3060 ti. The only thing I changed after update was activate HDR, now deactivated to test, will come back report if still freezes.
Freezed again after using for 1h. Will go back to 41.
No, I left it default on that front. Is there anything special I need to do to uninstall? I've used windows all my life, so I want to be sure
I've never used Decky but unlike on Windows, pressing "uninstall" generally does uninstall things fully
Fedora 42 (Bazzite is based on Fedora) is also on the verge of release. If you're on that already then it could be causing the problems
