Game crashes with new DH version
I recently updated from 1.21 to 1.21.4, and when attempting to join a world (local or server) the game crashes. This is not a problem on 1.21
Exit Code: -1073740791

ok.... are you ready for it to get even weirder? I just had the idea to disable rendering from the config screen on the main menu. I'm able to then join the world (but with rendering disabled). If I then enable it once I've loaded into the world I crash...
However..... If instead of just clicking it to re-enable it I instead press the reset button next to enable renderings (which just changes the option back to true) I am able to use DH & join/leave whenever I want (on any of my worlds and servers???)...

No error in there
The log just stops
Do you have a crash report
What DH version did you use on 1.21?
Same as on 1.21.4? 2.3.2?
The version used previously was
2.1.1-a-dev-1.21
As for the crash report, I can send it, but I'm not sure which part to remove (ik there's some sensitive information somewhere in there)Wow that was an old version...

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.If you upload the file to the website in the bot's message above
It will automatically remove all the sensitive information (or at least it should)
I have a copy of the hs_err_pid as well
^ a video of the problem
hs_err log:

Does the same thing happen if you remove Sodium and Fabric API?
It would be a terrible fix, but a useful bit of knowledge
Just tried w/ just DH & it still crashed. DH is definitely the fault point, as everything loads perfectly find w/o it.
Does it happen when creating a new world?
Yes, it happens if I join a world, create a new world, or join a server
I'm out of ideas, I guess wait for a dev to see this

But then if I close out of MC & re-open from the launcher. I run into the same problem as before.
At least I have a temporary fix (I'll have to do that each time I open MC), but this is the most weird bug I've ever seen
Should I open up a second help request in #bug-report ?
You can, or you can wait
Decision is yours, just link this thread in the bug report if you create one
Just downloaded the mod for the first time today and I've been having the same exact problem
Wow! Thanks for the workaround. I had the same issue and went almost crazy. The workaround, as crazy as it sounds, worked for me too. Before I had crashes after 2 minutes I joined/loaded a world. No error code other than the
-1073740791
and some error like a this one couple of seconds/minutes before the crash :
After the workaround, I still sometimes had this PriorityTaskPicker Error but it didn't crash the game. It's such an odd bug. I've re-submitted it in #bug-report with a link to this thread so that hopefully a dev finds it
Great. Thanks a lot! I described my case to maybe raise additional awareness and provide help. =)
