How is the consumer location chosen? Is it affected by smart placement?

Currently your consumer Worker always runs in WNAM (Western North America), but there’s no technical reason for it really. Smart placement is probably the right answer here but I’m very open to hearing why you’d like to tweak it (or what your expectation would be)

High latency with round trips + the 6 open connections limit makes having big message batches not work very well, that is the main problem for me
