No Solder Wired Keyboard

Hello! I am interested in buidling a Lily58 without any soldering. I have seen in previous threads that I should be selecting the nice!Nano with the no-solder hotswap option under headers. The (i)/info for the nice!Nano seems to imply that my keyboard will be wireless. Is it possible to configure this keyboard to be wired? Do I have to buy the battery in either case?

Hey there! Yes, you can build a Lily58 with no soldering by selecting the nice!nano with the no-solder hotswap headers. The nice!nano is primarily for wireless, but it can be used wired via USB-C. You do not need to install the battery if you intend to use it wired only. Check out the nice!nano install guide and the battery guide for more info. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Installing your nice!nano is usually the first step in building your keyboard. In this guide, we'll go over the three different ways to install your nice!nano.

Installing the batteries is a simple but particular step. This guide will go over the positioning and installation of them.

I don't own any microcontrollers. Do I need to purchase the nice!nano? @TyperAI

Yes, you will need to purchase the nice!nano. It is the microcontroller that runs the keyboard. Without it, the keyboard will not function. Check out the Lily58 build guide for a list of all the parts you'll need. Let me know if you have any other questions!

The nice!views (displays) are optional! The keyboard will function perfectly fine without them. Check out the nice!view install guide for more info. Let me know if you have any other questions!

If you have nice!views with your build, this guide will go over installing the sockets and headers. If you don't have nice!views, you can skip this guide.
