Internet speed drops when valorant runs
Hi! I don't have trouble playing Valorant.
Although, I would like to stream it.
My network has no issue.
Playing it by itself has no issue.
But streaming and playing Valo is not possible.
My partner can stream and play Valorant both at the same time on his laptop.
But on mine, it is not possible.
Here are pictures of my internet speeds when valorant is closed versus when it is running.
The upload speed when it is running is greatly reduced (less than 1MBps... it's in the kilobytes, guys!).
when valorant isnt running: 290Mbps
when valorant runs: 6.4Mbps
I have tried connecting my laptop to my partner's ethernet connection and it still has the same issue.
what settings can I change on this? It seems to be hogging the bandwidth.
I have scoured the internet and spent so many days trying to figure this out. help!

interesting, although this is more technical question than a networking issue, which I have more experience in, but check antivirus, 3rd party network apps, check if you are not downloading anything passively in the background etc.
other games are fine ? like CS ?
I feel like its the laptop having trouble which causes the connection to be capped
