Issue rebasing from Aurora-DX -> Bazzite-DX
I'd like to rebase from Aurora-DX -> Bazzite-DX as per the title. However, when I run the command:
I get this error:
Do I need to already be on Bazzite or should I be able to rebase from Aurora-DX?

sudo bootc switch --enforce-container-sigpolicy ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-dx:stable
cheers
docker is just for running the containers, bootc will manage ur system
cheers spunchbob
How come when I run the thing on bazzite-dx website that it points me to the git repo with the command i linked?
The text says, rebase to bazzite-dx now
@Kyle Gospo probably something you want to change
the website is being a bit misleading for you right now
š
that page is the container itself, thats the entire system you are going to use
.
this is what you want
Top stuff
see you on the other side
also
wait
which image are you on?
do you have nvidia? if so that command wont work
Nah, 7900xt
oh ur golden
just have fun!
Ta lovey
you can always rebase back and forth between them
and regular kinoite
Ye thought so
Just playing around for now
hoping you'll like it!
Any idea how much different -gdx will be?
depends on what people want
I dev for work but game dev in free time
im assuming that gdx will have the dx gubbins + extra for gdev
maybe you can like post your use case on a github issue or the forums so we can know what to include
Yeah for sure
gdx will just be dx with more game devy stuffs
Though I'm cautious because I understand that if everyone wants all of their specific setups across different languages
that'd be a pain
nah just write everything you want there, people will evaluate, come to a consensus, then implement it!
Gotcha
Thanks for your help š
Also I guess, are there any (I'm assuming not, due to the nature of the project being OS related) reasonably entry/newbie level issues that ever pop up that I could get involved with?
Just started as a java dev but would be keen to get involved in something relatively open source
oh theres a LOT of stuff
our workflow is just like: open up the github issues, see what you can maybe fix, try to fix it with a PR, done
the bazzite issues are... kinda messy tbh
Alright nice, thanks - I'll see if there are any low hanging fruit when I get back from football later š
but like, just reading issues, seeing if they are applicable or even happen anymore is huge
writing documentation/translations is amazing too
like anything counts, literally
actually if you want to slightly contribute to it right now you can write down an issue on the website's repo
talking about your experience with the dx website
that it mislead you a bit
