I might be missing something but in the Leeway calculation in the derived-data plugin it uses requires [navigation.headingMagnetic(
), navigation.courseOverGroundTrue()] but it doesnt ask for magneticVariation. This seems to me like the Magnetic value is being subtracted from the True value which correlates with the results i'm seeing being about 15 degrees more than i would expect (which is the Magnetic Variation where i am)
