Why is DH 2.3.x so absurdly slow?
When I open my world and my lods start loading (they were built/generated in 2.2.x) in a world, the 2.2.x version takes around 20 seconds to load a 256 render distance with low cpu setting usage. My cpu is a i7-3770, 11 year old cpu that can manage DH perfectly
Now, with 2.3.2 version it takes, with the same settings, around 10 minutes! If I set up the cpu usage to the max it can, at the cost of cpu-throttling, take 1-3 minutes depending
Latest update (you can check the notes) reduced slightly the lod's loading. I am aware. But I notice that the loading takes too long to be slightly. So, any help? How can i fix it?

can you do some benchmarks perhaps? to get some more concrete numbers?
Also if you benchmark best to create 2 separate identical instances and on both first pre-gen the same seed world on the respective DH version
Just to make sure no weird conversions take place
Same MC versions, same mods (except DH), etc.
What is benchmarks? I can provide a yt video with the dh loading times if you want
yea that would be helpful
the video is 1 minute long, with high load option, and it only loads about 40-50 chunks from me
to load the 256 chunk render distance... you get the idea lmao
with the other version 2.2.x it would have loaded entirely in less than a minute
but now it takes forever
and yes, the speed is the same as 2.2.x
