Surface Pro 2 crashes immediately and a question about older versions
Hello!
I installed Bazzite on my Surface (using ventoy and grub2 mode like the guide says) and about 20 seconds after reaching the login screen or when I try to log in it crashes and only shows the "surface" boot screen. Hitting the power button does get a reaction: it shows "Bazzite" in the bottom with a little loading animation in the middle and then it shuts off. I guess that means it's not completely frozen?
I thought it could be a KDE related issue but the gnome version does the same.
Trying to launch it again doesn't show the login at all and directly goes to the infinite "surface" boot screen.
I found several people with similar problems on surfaces but nobody seems to have a solution.
This person: https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1350576633118986240 seems to have more luck with an older version. I wanted to try that version but on the website the version list doesn't go back that far. Is there a place where I can find older versions of bazzite-surface-gnome?
Thank you!

I don't know how relevant it is but I installed the non surface version and it works well so far.
unfortunately the surface version is kinda broken because lack of surface user testing it
glad it worked with the normal version tho
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense.
The normal version has now started crashing as well. 😅
Maybe it helps if I tell you that I have installed many different distributions on this surface lately and this issue seems to only happen on Bazzite.
if you can get logs or help debug it may help the dev to fix the issue
I will try when I can!
