Do LOD chunks lock in terrain gen?

let’s say i run the dh pregen command on my server for a huge range, will that make it so structures from potentially future updates won’t generate there?

That depends on your distant generation settings /generators

- FEATURES: Complete generation of all LODs with mostly correct structures and trees. Does not save vanilla chunks, and is much faster than INTERNAL_SERVER unless C2ME is installed. - INTERNAL_SERVER: Generates and saves both DH LODs and vanilla chunks, has 100% correct LODs, because it also saves vanilla chunks it takes the most amount of drive space. Generation speed will suck unless C2ME is installed. - PRE-EXISTING: generates LODs for all existing vanilla chunks.

If vanilla chunks are saved, unless you manually delete them no updates will affect any generated and saved vanilla chunks, nor LODs If vanilla chunks are not saved, new structiures, biomes and stuff will be created, but it won't be visible in LODs untill someone load it into their vanilla RD Unless you regenerate the LODs
