extremely slow chunky pre-generation

i am using chunky to pregenerate a forge 1.20.1 server, and chunky is generating chunks at only 2 chunks per second. the server has 130-ish mods and it runs with 10GB ram allocated on an oracle cloud server

this is a fresh server with only an hour of playtime before i started pregen

Thing is ram has no bearing on the generation speed It's likely the CPU you have just isn't great with its single thread speed And considering it's an Oracle cloud instance it's likely an old Xeon, not known for single core

it is running on one of their ampere ARM cpus funny thing but another server (same modlist) running on a xeon e5-2697 v3 was getting an average of 17cps

Gen speed also depends on what kind of mods you have, do you have anything that affects world gen?

its not possible to pregen on there sadly

You may want to send a spark report so we can see what's up !spark

Spark Profiler
Spark can be used to see why your server or client is lagging. Users can share a spark report via /spark profiler start --timeout 300 which creates a report after 5 minutes. The spark report is useful in debugging why your server is lagging, so ideally you should always provide one while asking for support. Download | Website | Docs
