- Open the Task Manager > Details tab

- Open the Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
- Uninstall Riot VANGUARD
- Open CMD as Admin and type these commands:
- sc delete vgc
- sc delete vgk
- Navigate to your C: Drive, then Program Files
- Find the VANGUARD folder and delete it
- Open the Riot Client and click update
- Restart your computer after the update
After you’re done with that:

- Type services.msc
- Look for vgc
- Right-click on vgc > Properties
- Change the startup type to automatic

@pud try these steps

doesnt wanna update for some reason
Are you connected to any VPN
If you are
Disconnect the VPN and try to launch the game
nope
nothing
Then try connecting to a different network
Ur phone hotspot if you can
well that worked yeah
but deleting then reinstalling vanguard didnt solve my main issue
thats the message i get when i press start, if i retry multiple times the game finally decides to start but it still takes 5 mins to load

and even after it loads i get this error most of the time

probably a vanguard issue but i cant seem to fix it even after deleting then reinstalling valorant, riot and vanguard
Press windows key + r
Type regedit
Enter
And go to this path
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options
Then show ss

The right side of that window
nothing

Try doing a clean boot
Press windows key
Search “msconfig”
And open “System Configuration”
Head to “Services” tab
Check “Hide all Microsoft services”
And then “Disable all”
And find “vgc” and enable that only
Open “Task Manager”
Then head to “Startup Apps”
And disable all
Then restart your pc
i probably shouldnt disable vgtray from startup apps right?
No leave that enabled
nope still the same issue
Try reinstalling vanguard 1 more time

Also it says “something unusual”? Every time
nah like the first 1-4 tries
then valorant just starts loading very slooooowly
and sometimes i get an error 43
that also happens for some reason

Press windows key + r
Type msinfo32
Show ss
ok so i tried opening valorant with my phone’s hotspot and it completely opened normally
but when i connected my ethernet cable
it took 5-10 times longer to open
but im not sure whether its a DNS issue or its just the ethernet cable itself
