Sizing and Comfort on Steel Toe Solovairs?

I'm looking for an alternative to the DM 1461 bex and the only version of the Solovair Gibson with the thicker commando sole also has a steel toe. Has anyone tried these? Do you feel any pressure when they flex? Do they feel restrictive if you tend to have wider toe splay? I've seen some complaints that the Gibson toe box is already a bit narrow, and with the steel toe there is no room for it to widen as it breaks in.
