Electrostatics - Potential doubt

I understand that for a sphere V is KQ/R when r<R and KQ/r when r>R But why is it such that the induced charges +q and -q on the surfaces of the conductor have no effect on the point outside(C)? Yet it does for points inside(A)? Thank you

Their effect essentially cancels out since the potential due to those induced charges doesn't depend on their distribution. You take distance from centre right? Consider the induced charges, and write down the potential terms. They will cancel out.
