I have a little problem setting up immich via portainer. I don't have any Published Ports? When it was set to "starting" it showed that port 2283 was Published but disappeared when "immich_server" became "running" What could I be doing wrong? i followed this turtorial: https://immich.app/docs/install/portainer
My environment variables:
UPLOAD_LOCATION=/mnt/share/Docker/Immich/Library
DB_DATA_LOCATION=/mnt/share/Docker/Immich/Postgres
IMMICH_VERSION=release
DB_PASSWORD=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
DB_USERNAME=postgres
DB_DATABASE_NAME=immich

initdb: error: could not change permissions of directory "/var/lib/postgresql/data": Operation not permittedThis is the problem
I am a beginner. I guess that "/var/lib/postgresql/data" is on my Ubuntu? But thers no "/var/lib/postgresql/"... maybe the account don't have permission to create it? What account do i need to give permissions?

It's in
/mnt/share/Docker/Immich/Postgres
I hope share is not network share?
Because if it is, don't do that.What’s the filesystem of the mount?
/mnt/share/Docker/Immich/Postgres is a networkshare. Its my NAS i Dont have alot of local storegt on my serer and would like to have all the immages on my share
/mnt/share/Docker/Immich/Postgres is empty
You can’t use a NAS mount for Postgres. It’s usually less than 10GB
NFS
Oh, what postgres for?
Postgres is for metadata
Users, image storage locations, who owns what ..
Don't put DB_DATA_LOCATION on a network share
oh i will try to change if its not big. Can i just put "./postgres" in .env? or where do you recommend to put it?
./postgres is fine, that'll be the location of the compose file
Thx that works 🙂 I will try set it up now!
It seems to work now! Great application!
