MIt sounds like the issue may be that you're not explicitly creating all of your triggers and actions. Using the automatic actions can be useful, but don't give you much control.
I'd recommend explicitly creating actions for all the events you wish to track. That way when you fire a track event a trigger you've created that's looking for that event name can trigger the relevant actions that subscribe to that trigger.
