Future Dates

Hey, some files i Uploaded have the wrong date in immich. The date in the file description is correct and the created/last edited info of the file is also correct but immich displays some of them in year 2035 and sets a wrong date in the immich file infos. Recreating the Metadata via the button didn`t work. Has anyone experienced this behaviour? I am currenlty at version v1.132.1

Immich does not use filenames for dates File creation and modification date is low on the priority list of dates, so even if they are right it won't work if a higher priority EXIF value is wrong You can edit the date in the web GUI, assuming the image is not in a read-only external library

Yeah i can edit them all manually in the webapp, but I am not sure where immich got the wrong date from. I checked all file infos of the original file and they are set to to correct date. I also tried deleting and reuploading and it calculates the same date in 2035, so i want to where the wrong date comes from.

If you could zip up an example and upload it here we can take a look zip or other way of archive 😛 If you just upload it discord will strip all metadata

oh in that case you could try and see yourself exiftool -G1 -a -s <filename> exiftool -validate -warning -error -a <filename> You could | grep 2035 to get a shorter list perhaps 😛

Found it. In Linux it states that the year is set to 1969 one year before Unix Timestamp 0. In windows i get the correct time in the file meta data. I will close the thread. Thx for your help
