Hot weather socks

25C temperatures have spawned out of nowhere and I'm slowly realizing that I can't wear my usual thick wool socks anymore on this heat.

Any suggestions on good summer socks?

Requirements:

• Up to $15 per pair, willing to go up to that if they are worth it
• Not cotton, I don't like soggy stinky feet
• Cut low. Will be worn with low sneakers.
• Simple design, clean white would be ideal.

I've been looking at the falke climawool sneaker socks, but they are pretty expensive and I'm wondering if anything cheaper will do the trick whilst still being of good quality (pain points with cheap socks include poor toe links, holes near the heels developing quickly, too tight of a fit that compresses my foot, abrasive material that sticks on my foot when I yank my sock out, rough surfaces, loud designs).

Also if anyone has any experience with modal/viscose socks, your opinion will be appreciated
