Solutions - tiny doubt in a question

So here's a problem from the chapter solutions. I want to solve it using Ya/Yb = (Xa/Xb)(P0A/P0B)... I've reached up to this eqn: P0bxy= Pa - Pay - Pax+ Paxy. What I don't understand is where did that x term go in the original expression of Pa. Is it cuz we're taking x = 0 as it is an exp for Pa? I guess that is it but would like to confirm.

okay sir. i just want to know if the x term has to be ignored cuz we're looking at Pa. i was able to solve the problem I've reached up to this eqn: P0bxy= Pa - Pay - Pax+ Paxy. What I don't understand is where did that x term go in the original expression of Pa. Is it cuz we're taking x = 0 as it is an exp for Pa? I guess that is it but would like to confirm.

yea my bad, i took x to be mole fraction of A :D You can figure it out, fix the equation above. write xa = 1-xb and retain things you will get PoA to be 235 235-125 = PoB ie 110
