DirectX 12 is not supported on your system.
I have two systems both running Intel Discrete Graphics, One A770 LE and the other is a B570. I am getting "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument" when attempting to run Oblivion Remastered in Steam.
I have tried several versions of Proton, Proton GE, and Proton Experimental 10.0.1 beta, Steam Tinker Launch with the same error. I went into Developer mode and deleted my prefix data each time I tried a different proton version, I also have uninstalled the game and re installed.
I found a few similar issues while scouring the web, but nothing promising. I checked Proton DB and found a few similar errors for Oblivion Remastered and I believe a couple of them were Intel based GPU's. I'm starting to suspect this may be an intel specific issue, but am unsure what if anything I can do about it. I am able to run other DX12 games fine so I wonder if it is something with the mesa drivers and intel specifically for UE5? If anyone has ideas I would greatly appreciate the assist. Thank you in advance. I did try running the game in windows with my b570 and it works, just in case you were wondering.

I forgot to mention I also rebased to bazzite-deck testing but no luck either.
Checked Protondb recently and it looks like this might get resolved with Mesa 25.1.0.. I'll post my findings once it makes its way to the Bazzite testing branch.
Mesa 25.1 for Arc is 💖.

Update for anyone that runs in to this. Mesa 25.1.0 resolved the issue.
How did you install Mesa 25.1 on Bazzite?
