No nameplates in Rocket League
I've successfully gotten RL to boot in Heroic, but I now have the issue of nameplates not appearing in the game which makes it incredibly hard to play. After poking around a bit I have tried using winetricks to install all fonts in the WinePrefix folder of Rocket League - winetricks allfonts - but this doesn't seem to have done anything. Anyone know of a potential fix?

dxvk isnt perfect and will miss a few graphical things
nameplates are unfortunately one of them
there isnt an existing workaround that uses wine-crossover atm as far as i know(?)

Hm, and DXVK is needed for anything running through wine? I don't think I can dual boot Windows since its an M4 processor, am I just SOL?

yes dxvk needed pretty much
your only option is probably asahi linux, if you want something other than macos
idk how gaming on asahi is, it used to be bad but i think its improved a lot

dxvk is needed for wine-crossover yeah, but gptk doesn't require it
no idea why it isnt always preinstalled in macs but your gptk might not work if you dont do

Ended up getting it to work properly on crossOver using D3DMetal. Only need it for a couple of weeks so good enough for now 🤷♂️ thanks for the help!
