Does "never wear white to someone else's wedding" apply to white chinos with a navy blazer?
I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, and it's outdoors in a warm climate. There's no real dress code (despite me asking). I was planning on wearing a navy blazer, light blue shirt, and white chinos. Does this violate the "never wear white" rule? I always assumed that only applied to people in dresses.

It primarily applies to dresses, are you just a guest or are you in the actual wedding party part
Basically the underlying reason for this rule is to avoid looking too much like the bride/groom when you are not. As long as that is not the case, I think you can wear white chinos
