TMC Stepper_z2 reports error DRV_Status during beacon calibration
VC4-400 mm build. Build is finished for the Core XY kit. I have passed the sanity checks and checked all my wiring a few times now. When I attempt a ( beacon calibration ) it starts its sequence and before finishing I lose connection to klipper due to this error. Over temp warning for the z2 stepper. Here’s some photos for reference of my wiring lol be easy on the roasting. This is my first build and I learned a lot during this. Any ideas to try or Solutions would be appreciated please and thank you!

I figured it out. If your fan is not spinning during operations it’s configured wrong. I chose digital pwn on 2 pin port for the controller fan which I’ve been referring to it as the mcu fan. I have changed it to input voltage pwm on the configurator and can verify my fans are working during operations now.

need a fan blowing on the drivers on the octopus
yes i verified this as well saw a thread where a guy had his back plate on upside down. I should have also said I have made sure the back plate was on correctly with the fan directly over the octopus board. I sat behind it during operations and noticed the mcu fan did not turn on at all until it lost connection to klipper. Then it turned on 100 percent with the tool head fan.
The first picture shows where I’m plugging the mcu fan in at the bottom right of the board next to a jumper and the second to prove the fan is above the steppers when mounted.

Ah, kk. Try swapping the drivers around and see if the problem follows the driver or stays with the socket
That seems easy enough. I will give it a try now.
Same problem persist. Shouldn’t my mcu fan be running while the tool head is moving around? It’s not turning on until after the error shows up.
