Unable to turn on Core Isolation
Every time I try to enable Memory Integrity and Reboot. It automatically toggles off. I thought a fresh reinstall of Windows would help, but it didn't do anything.

Hello
Do you get any bsod when you restart after enabling
Hi, nope BSOD
So it restarts normally
But disabled?
Yeah
I forgot to mention that I had a conflicting driver that I uninstalled because Memory Integrity was not being blocked.
Was that before or after you reinstalled windows
Before
Hmm alright

something like this image
Yes I am aware
Open cmd as admin and type:
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" /v "Enabled" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Show ss of the result
I've tried that
:val_HUH:
Yeah, I saw this online. Use regedit
I thought policy forcing it would work, but it didn't
Was it this exact path tho
I did this pre/post reinstall
I'm trying to find online the tut I followed
Press windows key + r
Type msinfo32
Show full page ss
@Isabella✨
Maybe Kernal DMA protection?
No
Show what you changed in registry
It says it Off, wtf? It's on in my BIOS
It will show turned on, once you turn on memory integrity
^

Not sure how to show what I changed in registry, but I just manually went into regedit
Close that
Open cmd as admin
Copy paste the following and show ss of the result
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard\Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity" /v "Enabled" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

Ok restart your pc
I did that
When
:val_HUH:
When you first send that command, I just rebooted tho

Alright
Check msinfo32 page now rq
@Isabella✨

Just try the game rq
And see if you get the error
Alright, I wait like a couple minutes
Well, this is new @Isabella✨

@Isabella✨
Yeah, it needs that
:val_SusgeNoted:
Never had both.
Open cmd as admin and type this command
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard" /v "EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
This 1 is different ^
Since you reinstalled windows, did you install all the drivers
Yeah, reinstalled Vanguard and everything
No not vanguard
^ did you do this
Yes, to both
Just rebooted
I'll worry about the drivers later, but everything looks installed
Open task manager > performance
Show ss under CPU rq

Ok try the game now
You’ll most probably get get the critical error
But lmk if you get HVCI
I'll worry about that later
But HVCI is being annoying right now.
@Isabella✨

Damn
yeah, this is weird problem
An idea could be updating BIOS, but I dunno
Go to bios
Disable VBS save and exit
Go back and enable it
Then try to enable memory integrity
Will try, right now running this
Alright
@Isabella✨ Didn't work, rebooted, disabled SVM. Let PC boot up completely. Rebooted, enabled SVM and tried to toggle on again and it stayed disabled.
Uh
Let’s try sum
Open cmd as admin
Type
powercfg /hibernate off
Do that
Enable memory integrity
And restart
See if it remains enabled

@Isabella✨ nope
Hmmm
@Jidat would you happen to know a fix for this
Memory integrity disables after restart :val_HelloBro:
Yeah, this is a weirdest error I have. Usually I try to fix it myself, but I just couldn't figure out why now.
Show the result after u wrote that
Also
Press win+r
Type msinfo32
Show ss of the whole screen

@Jidat

@Isabella✨ I just did a shot in the dark.

Solution
I enabled NX-Bit. Someone said online that it helped them enable Mem
Ayee LESGO
I don't remember ever disabling NX-bit, but I must have been play Val without HVCI for a bit now.
This is probably a one off problem that very very few people will encounter.
Yup, I’ve only seen 1 more case, couldn’t help em back then ☠️🙏🏻
