Repetitive Crashes, Don't Know Why Yet

Every few hours, or sometimes more frequently, the game crashes. I can't figure out a connection. I thought maybe it was from other programs being open (Adobe PDF Viewer, PowerPoint), but it's crashing now without them running. Mods used: Infinite Zoop Throughput Counter and Limiter Fluid Sink Please advise!

There's no modded code in the call stack, so I'd start with: >Verifysteam

All files validated. Does the log give any clues as to another possible cause?

Not really, as far as my knowledge goes at least! So the standard next step would be this: >debugmods

Follow this flowchart to troubleshoot issues caused by mods (crashes, unexpected behavior, etc.). More information can be found on the docs: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#_how_can_i_troubleshoot_crash_issues

But with only 3, and 3 pretty common mods, that seems like overkill. I have a feeling something in your save may have got slightly bugged, since these mods are so common

Is there any way to repair a bugged save?

Sometimes uploading your save to SCIM and downloading it again can smooth out that kind of issue >scim

SCIM is the Satisfactory Calculator Interactive Map. It can be accessed via its website: https://satisfactory-calculator.com/en/interactive-map You can also join their discord at https://discord.com/invite/0sFOD6GxFZRc1ad0

The upload button is near the top right corner, and should tell you where to find your save

Interesting, I'll give that a try. Does something on their site look for bugs or modify the save in some way?

It's a map which helps you find resources you haven't claimed yet but also offers save editing

On a side note, I see in my FactoryGame > Saved folder that "SaveGames" has not been modified in over a month, but "SaveGames_backup" was modified today, suggesting that all of my game saving for the past month has been saving in this backup folder instead of the normal saves folder? Is that normal?

If you open the savegames folder and check the individual dates are they today?

JunktabotOP3w ago
hmm... the autosaves are. Seems odd that it would tell me the SaveGames folder hasn't been modified since 4/15/2025 since a folder and files inside of it were modified today...

Yeah windows do be like that

Okay, so I'm looking at Satisfactory Calculator's front page and in the top right drop-down I see "My Blueprints". Is that where I upload my save?

You don't need to do anything after it's uploaded. Just downloaded it again (a download button will appear next to the upload button). It's SCIM's save-parser that can sometimes straighten out issues with save-files.

I got it, hopefully this ironed out whatever the issue was. Thank you and @sjhoward for the help! Ehhh unfortunately it just crashed again. I hate to think that the save file is just screwed.
