quick question about mod function/glitches
A server I play on has the mod banned because you're able to x-ray with it apparently

This was before dh 2.3 though
Do any of you know what glitch they were talking about ijn specific?
and do you think it's fixed in the latest release?
With DH 2.3 on both client and server, that sounds plausible, although youll have to go through great lengths to xray with it if they have an anti-xray mod (and im not sure why you would complain about xray without having an anti-xray mod)
With DH lower than 2.3, i have no idea how you would xray with it
There is this bug with DH LODs displaying in front of vanilla
That could count as XRAY I guess
Though Having a x-ray resourcepack would be much easier and more convenient
Also I doubt the server will be able to detect client side DH
And client side DH should have the same fake ores vanilla would have when using anti-xray plugin
And with server side DH, if they would want to, I'm sure the plugin can be modified to hide ores or insert fake ones, just as in vanilla
Also I can't think of in what way is Bobby harder to x-ray with
If anything it would be easier to X-Ray with Bobby as Bobby has textures, and DH only single colours
but if there is an anti xray mod on the server, then the LODs will have those fake ores as well
Not if the server also has DH installed, then the LODs it sends won't have fake ores by default, as I doubt the plugins affect the worldgen directly
Solution: Use the plugin and the FastOverworldBuilder, since that doesn't include everything underground ;p
An anti-xray feature has been planned for a long time, but I've never seen any actual demand for it. It would be pretty trivial to implement though: Just map certain block types to other block types, ie. diamond ore -> stone

Ah, yeah, haven't made the connection between 2.3 and server side support
Though there was the separate branch before that
A bit experimental, but there were technicaly older versions of DH with server side support

I just find it silly thry ban dh for thst when you put on a simple texture pack and x ray anyways
On top of that, I just prefer distant horizons over bobby

hopefully it changes their view on the ban because their reason is pretty silly
