API Insanity
api upload does not allow import on 2ndairy accounts so i used my admin api key for my wifes and it uploaded to my account not realizing that using my api key would just upload her images to my account -_-
Why do 2ndairy users not have access to api but can create api keys that cant be used and why doesnt the use of an api key require a user name and pass

In order to be able to effectively help you, we need you to provide clear information to show what the problem is. The exact details needed vary per case, but here is a list of things to consider:
- Your docker-compose.yml and .env files.
- Logs from all the containers and their status (see above).
- All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
- Any recent changes you've made to Immich or your system.
- Details about your system (both software/OS and hardware).
- Details about your storage (filesystems, type of disks, output of commands like fdisk -l and df -h).
- The version of the Immich server, mobile app, and other relevant pieces.
- Any other information that you think might be relevant.
Please paste files and logs with proper code formatting, and especially avoid blurry screenshots.

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.I think you are mistaken. If a user account creates an API key, it allows full access to upload/edit/etc that user assets
If you are using immich-go, and you have not read the docs, I suggest you do so, as some optional features require an admin key in addition to a user key
reviewing other ppls issues seems this has been an ongoing issue for many ppl with no answer really other then some ppl saying it just works for them and others saying it doesnt regaurdless of version

Correct. A non admin user will not be able to edit the server jobs
then how is a non admin to import there google photo library
You can 1) disable the job pausing or 2) pass an admin key only for the purpose of job control
if you are using immich-go (which is a third party tool), this is all well outlined in their docs
I passed the admin key and it uploaded the photos to my account instead
I promise you all of these are covered in the docs, don't really feel like going back and forth
there is a way to upload google photos without immich-go?

I would ask in #immich-go share the exact commands you used
It's definitely possible to do as you asked just the command isn't correct

chatgpt has given me about 30 differnt variations of this comand none of them give me any differnt error
a 2nd api key is required for uploads that seems dumb and somthing nearly no familys are a going to figure out. why dont you guys just allow it in account creation since the damn admin has to make the account anyways and ppl cant make there own accounts why wouldnt there just be a check box to allow uploads or not to bypass this silly requirment that again is insecure and not a great idea anyway why would u pass out the admin apikey.....
