We are about the actual earth, or reality, not a model. Since your question started out with a fallacy, I ignored and discarded the rest of your question and didn't click on either unsolicited link.
Well first of all I don't claim anything about a "flat earth model" or a 24 hr sun.
Both are non sequitur.
Personally I've never been concerned with going because you can prove the earth isnt a sphere where you're at already. Or at least not have to go so far. Just to a near body of water. So no need to goto antarctica when we already have surface measurements here. #long-distance-observations-🌄
