Discord Streaming issue

Okay so I've I've looked into it. Apparently you cannot stream on discord in gaming mode. That's perfectly fine. However even in desktop mode I run into issues. The stream is fine when I'm just recording my desktop but once I start up the game of my choice the screen goes green and stays that way indefinitely. This is a pretty big problem for me and any helping hand would come a long way.
