Could you try running
flatpak run com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl
in your terminal application? That'll hopefully have some output on what went wrongenvironmental-roseOP•7d ago
huh

Hmm, very odd indeed
Perhaps try a
flatpak override --reset com.heroicgameslauncher.hgl

didn't work
Is
~/Games
a symlink?environmental-roseOP•7d ago
yea it leads to the games folder in my secondary ssd
to be more specific:
the secondary drive is mounted as ~/steamssd/
within it there's a games folder i symlinked into the home folder for ease of access
Right, that won't work for Flatpak applications. You might be able to get around this by giving the Heroic Flatpak access to
~/steamssd/
(using Flatseal or another Flatpak permission manager). Ideally you'd mount your drive in a more standard location though (/run/media/
is the de-facto standard, /mnt/
and /media/
will also work for Heroic)environmental-roseOP•7d ago
i already have
ig i'll change the perm from
create
to read/write
oh wait i see what's wrong
bloody thing
i can't remove the symlinked folder from the flatpak perms
tried to link to it directly but because the old link is still there i can't change itMake sure to restart Flatseal if you had it open before, we've reset the permissions with the
override
command aboveenvironmental-roseOP•7d ago
i use a diff app to flatseal to manage flatpak perms
Right, can't help you there then
environmental-roseOP•7d ago
yea don't blame ya
guess i'll just resinstall heroic and import the games again
oh crap right there's the prefixes
OH MY
YOU KNOW WHAT THE FIX WAS
Solution

JUST REMOVE THE SYMLINK FROM THE HOME FOLDER
