The Outer Worlds | GE-Proton10-1) | Broken Cutscenes

Hi Everyone,

The Outer Worlds (regular, non spacer choice) has cutscenes working with GE-Proton9-27. I updated to GE-Proton10-1 on a new prefix to get steam input to work, and cutscenes stopped working with logs complaining about gstreamer.

System Info:

Answering my own question: Seems like toggling the

Disable umu

Disable umu

Disable umu

Disable umu on and off in

Game Settings -> Advanced

Game Settings -> Advanced

Game Settings -> Advanced

Game Settings -> Advanced solved the issue somehow

For context on this: there is a bug in the heroic ui that disables umu on freshly installed games but the checkbox doesnt properly report this state. Checking and unchecking disable umu resets this value properly and fixes the visual glitch. Its a known issue so hopefully resolved in a future update

You can check the github, im not sure every issue is tracked but would be the best place to follow issues
